Position Description 

The goal of the VP of Sales role is to provide leadership, set strategy, oversee execution, and measure progress across Wholesale, Amazon, and Key Partnership opportunities. This role also oversees sales forecasting to support strategic decision-making and financial goals of the company. In addition to the accountabilities listed below, other projects and duties may be assigned.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Strategy and Leadership

    • Collaborate with the CRO to outline clear strategies and annual goals across Wholesale, Amazon, and Key Partnerships and devise communication plans to ensure sales teams work together effectively toward those goals

    • Work with Wholesale and Amazon sales leaders to create integrated strategies and set priorities that optimize work being performed based on ROI and value to the business

    • Oversee and validate demand and revenue forecasting and modeling across Wholesale and Amazon to predict future sales through the use of historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to drive key decision-making across the organization; keep stakeholders informed to ensure the best business decisions are made

    • Oversee development and monitoring of sales KPIs and other metrics to maintain a high-functioning department and to design effective data-driven solutions

    • Work cross-functionally to facilitate the Sales and Operations planning process to ensure inventory and demand planning processes align to revenue forecasts to maintain a healthy inventory position, minimize waste, and improve cashflow while maximizing revenue

  • Driving Profitability

    • Set and oversee execution of a wholesale strategy that drives revenue and maximizes brand awareness across the TeeTurtle, Plushiverse, and Unstable Games brands globally

    • Set and oversee execution of licensing strategy that pursues and captures high-value partnerships that drive revenue, maximize brand awareness, and align with the company's mission and objectives

    • Set and oversee execution of Amazon strategy that is designed to maximize profitability across the TeeTurtle, Plushiverse, and Unstable Games brands

    • Oversee wholesale operations to maintain smooth and effective processes that enables growth of the organization

    • Find opportunities to maximize margins through pricing strategies and recommendations on product mix to partners

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

    • Partner with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Creative leadership to set and maintain a communication strategy that ensures that accurate information is timely shared across departments

    • Oversee relationship management with key accounts and handle escalations to drive sales and build positive, lasting business relationships

    • Maintain knowledge and understanding of current and future products to help identify and plan sales and marketing initiatives and communicate them to internal and external stakeholders

    • Represent Wholesale and Amazon teams at company-wide meetings and events and provide updates on major initiatives, challenges, pivots, and other critical news across appropriate communication channels to maintain transparency and improve organizational communication

    • Partner with the Creative team to outline clear line planning processes that feed the product pipeline across brands and maximize future Wholesale and Amazon opportunities

  • Team Management

    • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and goal-setting to drive performance and engagement

    • Communicate business priorities, direction, and announcements with team to support organizational alignment and promote a culture of transparency

    • Ensure that work across Wholesale, Amazon, and Key Partnerships teams meets expected quality standards across all functions to demonstrate dependability and maintain trust throughout the organization

    • Provide leadership and support to the Wholesale, Amazon, Key Partnerships teams to improve performance and help each member of the team reach their full potential

    • Conduct weekly and monthly team meetings, lessons learned meetings, and root cause analysis meetings to solve problems and drive continuous improvement

  • Leading Teams: Identifies shared goals and leads the team in achieving those goals; effectively assesses team members' strengths and weaknesses to assign and delegate work effectively and find opportunities for coaching and mentorship; supports learning and development to advance individual and team effectiveness; acts as a role model to the organization

  • Strategic Planning: Maps out cross-functional strategies and execution plans based on company vision, impact, and value; designs actionable plans and effectively communicates, delegates, and monitors those plans to ensure execution; knows when to pivot

  • Organizational Leadership: Assesses business needs to define organizational vision and effectively communicates the vision to drive engagement and performance; exhibits influence, negotiation skills, and humility to achieve alignment; understands their role in advancing organizational vision and culture; role models core values and company culture

Qualifications

  • BA in Business or related field (required)

  • 10+ years of experience in sales leadership (required)

  • 5+ years experience managing 8-figure revenue streams (required)

  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets (required)

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Sheets (required)

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $155,000 - $175,000 + up to 20% Performance Bonus + Sales Bonus eligibility
