Position Description 

The Sr. Data Analyst: Operations performs a critical functions at TeeTurtle by leveraging predictive analytics to assemble and manage demand forecasts, conduct inventory analyses, and recommend improvements that drive cost reductions within the operations umbrella. In addition to the accountabilities listed below, other projects and duties may be assigned.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Demand Planning and Forecasting
    • Create and manage the monthly demand planning process for a rolling 12-month horizon to ensure efficient sales and operations planning
    • Partner with TeeTurtle’s print-on-demand partner to assemble accurate demand forecasts to reduce risk of stockouts and extended production lead times
    • Partner with the sales team to assemble and provide monthly outbound volume forecasts for each sales channel for the 3PL partner to allow for maximum adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    • Measure forecast bias and adjust item parameters and forecast models as necessary to improve accuracy for the future
  • Inventory Analysis
    • Develop and maintain ABC classifications for items based on updated sales numbers to ensure optimized replenishment recommendations
    • Manage slow-moving and obsolete (SMO) inventory process and make recommendations to sales and marketing teams to drive SMO inventory values down
    • Create and manage category review process with sales and marketing teams to determine products that can be discontinued based on sales data
    • Monitor inventory accuracy at the 3PL and develop a cycle counting plan to reduce inventory discrepancies in a cost-effective manner
  • Cost Reduction
    • Track and analyze freight spend to identify opportunities to reduce cost of inbound shipments
    • Analyze 3PL fulfillment costs and work with them to identify solutions to reduce costs without compromising service
    • Identify Supply Chain’s major cost drivers and conduct analyses to decrease costs without sacrificing quality or the customer experience
    • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team during Kickstarter projects by analyzing customer orders to create a cost-effective and efficient fulfillment plan
  • Continuous Improvement and Optimization
    • Work with the Business Intelligence team to identify data gaps and enable reporting for the Operations department to measure and improve performance
    • Coordinate with the Supply Chain and Operations teams to identify areas for process improvement by leveraging data
    • Stay up-to-date on tools and best practices and identify opportunities to leverage cutting-edge technologies and practices to improve forecasting and analytics
    • Lead the design and development of dashboards to track metrics and KPIs that meet the needs of stakeholders to supply up-to-date and accurate data tracking tools across the organization
    • Measure and report on supply chain and customer experience key performance indicators (KPIs) to support tracking and achieving goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Data Analytics, or similar analytical discipline, or equivalent experience of 5 years (required)
  • Experience (5+ years)
    • Demand planning and forecasting (required)
    • Inventory analysis with a focus on reducing excess inventory and stockouts (required)
    • Consumer goods business (preferred)Tech Proficiencies (5+ years)
  • Tech Proficiencies (5+ years)
    • Brightpearl or similar ERP system (required)
    • Inventory Planner or other Demand Planning software (required)
    • Advanced spreadsheet skills, preferably comfortable working in Google Sheets (required)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with unexpected and last-minute changes

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 + up to 15% bonus eligibility.
