Position Description 

The goal of the Senior Sales Manager: Wholesale Sales is to manage and grow relationships with our existing wholesale partners, discover and pursue new revenue growth opportunities, and expand the reach of TeeTurtle plush and apparel to drive revenue. In addition to the accountabilities listed below, other projects and duties may be assigned.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Business Development

    • Identify and secure new partnership and distribution opportunities to expand our brand presence and drive revenue growth across all wholesale and retail channels

    • Manage and build relationships with key mass market, specialty retail, and distribution partners to drive sales through incremental placements and uncovering new opportunities

    • Partner with the Supply Chain and Business Intelligence teams on forecasting and inventory planning to ensure the maintenance of appropriate Wholesale stock levels

    • Conduct market research on merchandising, placement opportunities, and pricing across TeeTurtle product categories and present findings to Creative and Revenue leadership to inform product development and packaging

    • Collaborate with the licensing team to identify and close strategic revenue growth opportunities for licensed plush and apparel

    • Lead plush and apparel during weekly, monthly, and quarterly Wholesale team meetings, Sales Performance meetings, lessons learned meetings, and root cause analysis meetings to solve problems and drive improvement

  • Brand Awareness

    • Identify promotion and marketing opportunities that drive sales and increase brand awareness and make recommendations to the VP of Sales for approval

    • Assess available trade show events to determine high impact attendance opportunities that will drive brand and product awareness

    • Partner with the VP of Sales to determine booth setup and requirements for wholesale events and trade shows and communicate effectively cross-functionally to ensure all action items are completed by set deadlines

    • Travel to wholesale events and trade shows to positively represent TeeTurtle to identify new wholesale partnership opportunities

  • Apparel Distribution

    • Conduct market and retail customer data and identify opportunities for wholesale placements across the full TeeTurtle product catalog, including licensed designs, retired designs, and trending designs

    • Manage partnership with external partner to pursue opportunities for retail apparel distribution and revenue growth

    • Identify opportunities for apparel sales with convention retailers to drive brand awareness and apparel revenue

    • Develop and maintain booth standards for TeeTurtle and off-brand convention presence to ensure adherence to brand standards that maximize appeal and brand awareness

  • Collaboration: Recognizes communication and collaboration pain points within the department and finds ways to improve collaboration

  • Execution: Designs, assesses, and implements effective plans that ensure successful outcomes across departmental functions; balances time and priorities across departmental functions; supports team to minimize mistakes and delays

  • Delivering to Stakeholders: Understands stakeholders' goals; tailors work to achieve goals and drive results; knows when to ask questions to seek and maintain alignment; identifies appropriate solutions and recommendations and develops creative solutions when obvious ones are not available to achieve stakeholders' goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (required)

  • 5+ years of experience (required)

  • Experience in B2B CPG Sales (required)

  • Proficiency with Google Suite, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides (required)

  • Self driven to find new opportunities for revenue growth (required)

  • Ability to travel (estimated 4-8 times per year)

  • U.S. Residency

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 + up to 15% bonus eligibility.
