Position Description 

The IT Project Manager's goal is to supervise the Information Technology Department systems by providing infrastructure, administration, vendor, and change management support across all vital tools within our technology stack. Additionally, the IT Manager will partner with systems vendors to ensure that products are updated, maintained, and serviced as needed; this includes but is not limited to systems such as Shopify, Google Workspace, BrightPearl, Slack, AWS, and Jira.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Project Management

    • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to gather detailed IT requirements, define project scope, establish timelines, identify critical milestones, and determine resource needs in order to ensure the successful delivery of infrastructure, software, or systems projects

    • Track performance through the duration of each project to streamline work, simplify project plans, eliminate redundancies, and shorten critical paths in real time, while proactively flagging risks such as scope creep or resource constraints that could impact delivery or ROI

    • Lead IT project meetings including: technical kickoffs, sprint planning, stand-ups, stakeholder updates, and lessons learned to drive alignment across cross-functional teams

    • Communicate project updates, roadblocks, and completion to internal stakeholders and contractors to drive cross-functional collaboration and overall effectiveness on a daily basis via the Daily Stand-up and slack channels

    • Analyze and validate IT budget forecasts, monitor actual spend, and implement cost control strategies

    • Coordinate implementation readiness by ensuring that IT teams and end users are properly trained on new systems, applications, or upgrades; drive adoption and minimize disruption through clear communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement

  • Infrastructure & Security Management

    •  Manage relationships with external infrastructure vendors (Google/Promevo, MDM, OKTA, IT-Geeks, and Onsite related service providers, etc) to ensure contractual obligations are met within the defined scope of work on monthly or quarterly basis based on contract term

    • Stay current on industry standards, advancements, and security practices so that the team has the expertise required to consult on infrastructure upgrades and strategies

    • Monitor the availability, reliability, and performance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems to minimize disruptions to the business and our end-users

    • Establish automated testing and monitoring systems that proactively identify issues with minimal end-user disruption to expand the technology team's oversight of our tech stack

    • Assist with developing and implementing a disaster recovery plan to minimize downtime in case of outages and ensure business continuity

  • IT Management

    • Provide Helpdesk level 2 support on all tickets by triaging and resolving them in a timely manner to ensure our team is supported and equipped to perform their roles

    • Configure, patch, update, and monitor IT systems to ensure smooth business operations and compliance with security standards

    • Assist with onboarding/offboarding and user accounts/permissions when primary tech is unable to perform this task

  • Delivering to Stakeholders: Understands stakeholders' goals; tailors work to achieve goals and drive results; knows when to ask questions to seek and maintain alignment; looks for appropriate solutions and recommendations to achieve stakeholders' goals

  • Sound Decision Making: Readily distinguishes between what is relevant and unimportant to make sense of complex situations; considers and weighs multiple options based on cost, risk, and value before proposing solutions, recommendations, or decisions


Qualifications

  • Education Bachelors or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience on a helpdesk

  • 2+ year in project management

  • Tech proficiencies (1+)

    • AWS environment, Google Workspace environment, Brightpearl (preferred) or other ERP exposure, ECOM business, Shopify environment , remote technical support

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 + up to 15% bonus eligibility.
